Based within the Economic Crime Directorate of the City of London Police, I am part of the National Lead Force for Fraud, drawing on proficiency and experience leading the national law enforcement response to economic crime.
Since 2013, as a member Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU), a specialist national police unit dedicated to protecting the UK industries that produce legitimate, high-quality physical goods and online and digital content from intellectual property crime.
My role is dedicated to tackling and investigating serious and organised intellectual property crime (counterfeit and piracy) affecting physical and digital goods. Presently, I responsible for the inception of Operation Ashiko, targeting the sale and distribution of counterfeit goods online - over 100,000 illicit websites, the largest recorded in Europe.
