Michael Rogers is the Director of Public Safety for Skyfire Consulting based in Marietta, Georgia. Michael retired from a 22-year career as an FBI Special Agent in September, 2020, following five years as a Police Officer in Michigan. In his final years in the FBI he managed and grew the Bureau’s UAS program, directing equipment selection, training, and operational deployments. Michael is a 27-year Law Enforcement veteran with experience serving in roles such as Field Training Officer, Investigative Special Agent, SWAT team operator, Pilot in Command, Surveillance Team Leader, and Aviation Program Manager. He has more than 5,000 hours as a manned aircraft pilot in command, and hundreds of mission hours on multiple small UAS platforms. Michael’s focus as UAS Program Manager was to integrate UAS capabilities into each of the FBIs investigative and response programs. That mission continues at Skyfire Consulting in helping public safety and security teams realize the full potential of unmanned technologies.
